Szeged, Hungary. May 2012. I’ve been shooting with an early 90s/late 80s pre asph 28mm Elmarit for the last couple of months. It has very quickly become my all rounder. Very well built, not at all heavy, sharper than anything i’ve used (okay…except maybe the 90 cron i briefly owned), and it has a nice ability to make subjects pop out as a great little bonus. The CV 28/2.0 is great, but the way it renders lighting is very, very different compared to this stellar 20 year old lens. I can’t recommend the Elmarit enough.

Venice, Italy. September 2011. Tourists being tourists. They were probably eastern european. Colour street photography to me is an oxymoron, but this shot would be pretty underwhelming in monochrome. The M8 may have its flaws, but at least in 2006 Leica still cared about photography and not profits. I hope they get back on track soon.
